Biography

Dr. Robert Martin, born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. attended Brooklyn College of the City University of N.Y. Dr. Martin earned a B.A. degree with major in Biology. Dr. Martin then attended University of Pittsburgh school of dental medicine where he was awarded the Pedodontic Award of the graduating class upon earning a D.M.D. degree.

Dr. Martin served in the U.S. Air Force after earning his reservist commission in his freshman year and was activated upon graduation. As a captain, Dr. Martin was given the position of Dental Flight Surgeon for six months then received re-assignment in Tuy Hoa Vietnam as a general dentist. During his tour, Dr. Martin volunteered to part of a “MedCap” program to offer treatment to the orphanages and remote hamlets to the children in the locations. During his one year tour, Dr. Martin was accepted into post graduate programs, accepting University of Pittsburgh as his choice to receive a MSD degree with a thesis in “Adhesives and Bracket Bonding.”

Upon graduation, Dr. Martin accepted employment in Maryland, and opened his first of four offices. He later sold three of his locations to proudly associate with Dr. Jerome Casper and Children’s Dentistry for the past twenty years. Now they are both a proud part of D4C Dental Brands.
