Biography

Dr. Lisa Shilman is a distinguished leader in pediatric oral healthcare, serving as the Clinical Director of Dentistry for Children and Family Orthodontics practices in Georgia. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. She completed her General Practice residency at King’s County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. While there, she was the recipient of the Resident of the Year award. She completed her Pediatric Dental residency at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. She is a published author in the Journal of the American Dental Association and the International Journal of Dentistry. Dr. Shilman is board certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Her expertise and unwavering commitment to advancing children’s oral health are evident through her influential role in shaping the clinical practices and ensuring the highest standards of care. In addition to her leadership within our organization, Dr. Lisa proudly serves as a member of the Georgia Dental Board and the Education Committee of the American Dental Association. Her involvement with these esteemed organizations allows her to stay at the forefront of dental advancements, contribute to the development of industry standards, and influence educational initiatives that shape the future of dental care. In her spare time, Dr. Lisa enjoys spending time and going on adventures with her husband, 2 children and adopted poodle, Bruce.
